Asking the right questions: How research during your surgical training can impact practice

Research and development is the cornerstone of advancement in any field of human endeavour.

Just as training is essential to gain proficiency in surgical practice, conducting responsible and impactful health-related research also requires an informed and insightful approach.

Dr. Julie Ann Sosa, Distinguished Professor of Surgery, Chair of the Department of Surgery at UCSF, and Editor-in-Chief of the World Journal of Surgery, presented an informative and enjoyable talk on 22 March 2021.

Dr. Sosa is a distinguished surgeon, educator, and researcher, and we were delighted to welcome her to enlighten us on research during surgical training.
